Awesome FAMILY owned business in the STRIP... Featuring the best seafood available, amazing sushi, meat and poultry, grocery items as well. Dine in, take out. Enjoy!

Had an amazing lunch that never disappoints- and I’ve been going here on and off for more than 50 years! Had the incredible Icelandic cod sandwich- amazing. We also had the lobster crab bisque and crab cakes. Then of course shopped for some seafood to take home. They also have parking which is free and across the street.

Been coming here for decades. This time we bought the seafood boil pot. Worker was wonderful as we walked around choosing the items for boil. 99 includes seafood, corn, sausage, potato, seasoning, butter and pot. Only need to add water and follow directions. Easily feeds 5 hungry adults. Definitely getting again.

If adventureing down the strip wasn't enough, I'm a frequent flyer down the strip, i usually go in and out certain places. But can't go with out stopping in wholeys infamous fish sandwich. So My wife and I stopped last weekend to get lunch. Instead of getting take out we decided to sit in the dining area which I didn't even know it existed but cool and nostalgic. All to give a reason to come back and eat.

Definitely the place to come for seafood in pittsburgh. I primarily come here for their hot kitchen because they sell some of the best fish sandwich in the entire area. You can never go wrong. I usually get the batter fish sandwich, which comes with couple pieces of batter fish within a soft bun. There is no fancy sauce or pickles or vegetables. You can get the sauce from the Self serve sauce, stars, and sauce, your sandwich yourself. I like some Tartar and hot sauce on mine. The fries are great as well, and I particularly love the crispy Kalamari. There is a huge dining area upstairs which transports you back to 1950s because that is what it looks like. It’s always busy over the weekend, but the lines are very efficient. Definitely come here for no nonsense seafood in a fast, casual environment.

The go to place for fresh fish in Pittsburgh. Fillets, steaks or whole fish, they will cut it up for you here. For 2 a pound you can get great scraps for chowder. At checkout, they have huge chests of crushed ice so your purchase won't spoil even if you live an hour away, as I do. Delightful experience, always an exciting capstone to a visit to Pittsburgh
